Cash, Checks, Credit Cards and Communications

by Rick Itzkowich on November 18, 2008

The more payment options you offer your clients, and the more convenient you make it for them to pay, the more likely that they will spend money with you.  Some people prefer to pay with a particular credit card. Others want to pay via check. Others just want to use cash. If you don’t offer certain forms of payment they may just spend their money elsewhere.

The same is true about communication. Some people prefer the telephone. Others would rather you do it via email, IM, twitter or texting. The fact is that consumers want their choices and they want to consume their information via different channels. As a business, the more channels you offer, the more chances you have that your prospects and clients will consume your information. How many different ways do you have to deliver information? Make it a goal to expand these channels and watch your business grow.

Quick, to the point, an excellent analogy and a perfect reason why businesses should embrace social media.
